How to display all underlying data in a view.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Answer

Option 1: Place all dimensions and measure on the view.

  1. Drag Measure Names to the Columns shelf.
  2. Drag Measure Values to Text on the Marks card.
  3. Drag the desired dimensions to the Rows shelf.

Option 2: Copy and paste data from Underlying Data into a spreadsheet program.

  1. Go to Data > <data source> > View Data.
  2. Click the empty square in the top, left corner, to the left of the first column header.
  3. Click the Copy button.
  4. Open Excel, or your spreadsheet program of choice.
  5. Paste the data into the spreadsheet.
