Question

How to activate paid license of Tableau Desktop while your trial version is still active.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Answer

  • Open Tableau Desktop.
  • Navigate to Help > Manage Product Keys.
  • Select Activate... and enter the paid license key, and click Activate again.
  • Complete the registration prompts.
Note: Restarting Tableau Desktop may be necessary to complete activation.
