Question

How to add borders around sheets on dashboards.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Answer

To add a border around a sheet, use a layout container.

Create a new dashboard or update your existing dashboard.
Drag a horizontal or vertical layout container to the dashboard.
Click the drop-down arrow on the blank container and select Format Container.
In the Format Container pane, add a border and customise as you see fit, and then close the pane.
Then, place the desired sheet(s) into the container.

To view a dashboard example that contains four sheets (and therefore, four layout containers), please see the attached workbook 4Sheets square.tbwx. Please note that when formatting the sheets, you may need to adjust how the sheet fits a layout container (Standard, Entire View ect...).
