Answer
- Ensure Tableau Desktop is upgraded to Tableau Desktop to a recent version. For more information, see Upgrading Tableau Desktop.
- In Tableau Desktop, select Server > Start Tableau Bridge Client
- Log in to Tableau Cloud
- Under Settings > Tableau Bridge, select "Allow Tableau Bridge to maintain live connections to on-premises data."
- Log on to Windows as a local administrator to allow the Bridge Client to run continuously. See Run Tableau Bridge as a Windows service for instructions.
