Question

How to set a fixed size for either height or width and leave the other property to automatically resize

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Answer

  1. Use the Range size option
  2. To mimic 'Automatic' for either width or height, set the minimum to the smallest possible value, which is 100px and the maximum to the largest possible value which is 9999px
  3. To mimic 'Fixed' for the other property, set the minimum and maximum to the same value
