When Connecting to TDE, the Connection to the Data Source is lost

When connecting to published TDE, the connection to the data source is lost after initial use and the following error might occur: 

No such table.


  • Tableau Desktop 9.2.4, 9.3
  • Windows 7
  • Access


Option 1

Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 9.2.14. For more information, see Upgrading Tableau Desktop.

Option 2

Try one of the following workarounds:
  • Clicking yes to reconnect enough times does get some/all data to load.
  • Use local copy of the data source.


This behavior is related to a known defect (ID: 573834) that has been fixed in the release 9.2.14 of Tableau Desktop
