When Connecting to Salesforce from Tableau Desktop 2021.4.3, Error code:0E9BCD3C Occurs

*When connecting to Salesforce from Tableau Desktop, the following error occurs:
 Unable to complete action
 Error starting OAuth Server, process exited. Exit code: 4. Exit status: 0. Error code: 5. Check C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\My Tableau
 Repository\Logs\stdout_oauthservice.txt for details.
 Error code : 0E9BCD3C

*stdout_oauthservice.txt shows:
  Error: missing `server' JVM at `C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau 2021.4\bin\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll'.
  Please install or use the JRE or JDK that contains these missing components.


  • Tableau Desktop 2021.4.3


Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 2021.4.4, 2021.3.8, 2021.2.9, 2021.1.12, 2020.4.15


 Repair the Tableau Desktop installation

  1. Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features.

  2. Select Tableau Desktop in the list of programs. 

  3. Click Uninstall/Change

  4. In the Modify Setup window that appears, click Repair, and allow the repair process to finish.


This is a know issue that is fixed in more recent version of Tableau Desktop.
