Issue

When connecting Tableau Desktop to Salesforce, the following error occurs:
 
    An error occurred while communicating with Data source 'Case(abiomed.my.salesforce.com)'
    Bad Connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source.
    Error Code: F024F6FE
    Error starting OAuth Server , process exited. Exit code: 4. Exit status:0. Error code: 5.
    Check C:/Users/XXXXX/Documents/My Tableau Repository/logs/stdout_oauthservice.txt
    for details.

Resolution

 Repair the Tableau Desktop installation

  1. Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features.
  2. Select Tableau Desktop in the list of programs. 
  3. Click Uninstall/Change
  4. In the Modify Setup window that appears, click Repair, and allow the repair process to finish.
