Unable to Resume a Suspended Extract Refresh Job

When selecting to resume a suspended extract refresh job, the job does not resume, although there are no errors.

If using the Developer tool of your browser and navigating to the Network tab to resume the job, a 404 error will occur.


  • Tableau Server 2023.1
  • Tableau Cloud


Option 1

  • Upgrade to Tableau Server 2023.3.

Option 2

  • Re-create the schedule for the suspended job.

Option 3

  • Click the 'Run Now' option for the first run. After that, the extract job will run on schedule.


Known Issue ID W-13161814 has been fixed in Tableau Server 2023.3 and Tableau Cloud 2023.2.
