Environment

  • Tableau Server 2018.2
  • Windows Server OS locale is not among these languages: 'de_DE', 'en_US', 'es_ES', 'fr_FR', 'ja_JP', 'ko_KR', 'pt_BR', 'zh_CN'
  • Extract published as a published data source

Resolution

Please try one of the following workarounds:

Workaround 1

Change the primary language of the Tableau Server Run as User to one of the supported languages 'de_DE', 'en_US', 'es_ES', 'fr_FR', 'ja_JP', 'ko_KR', 'pt_BR', 'zh_CN'. Work with your Server Administrator or IT team for any assistance.

Workaround 2

Apply the following tsm configuration set Option:
tsm configuration set -k  features.Hyper_SetUserLanguage -v false
tsm pending-changes apply

Tableau Server will need to be restarted after the changes are applied.
