Unable to Drag and Drop When Sharing the Screen in BlueJeans

Issue

When sharing your screen using the BlueJeans application, you may be unable to drag and drop in Tableau Desktop .

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop 9.1 and newer
  • Windows 10

Resolution

Option 1

Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 2019.2.1, 2019.1.5 or a newer version. Click here for downloads of current and previous versions of Tableau Desktop: Tableau Desktop Downloads and Release Notes. For more information on current releases, see Upgrade Tableau Desktop and Desktop Upgrade.

Option 2

The following option can be used to work around the issue

  1.  After clicking the 'Join Meeting' link or entering the Meeting URL in the browser, the BlueJeans App will launch (if it is installed on the computer).
  2. Close the BlueJeans App, and click JOIN WITH BROWSER in your browser instead.
  3. Follow the rest of the steps in the following BlueJeans Support article, and then share your screen using the meeting controls: Joining a meeting using your Browser

Cause

This issue (ID: 887404) has been fixed in a recent release of Tableau Desktop.
