Trying to Publish Tableau Prep 2022.3 Sign in to Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server Credentials Are Not Saved

Issue

In Tableau Prep Builder 2022.3, after signing in to the Server from the client in order to publish, the sign-in credentials are not maintained after Prep has been closed.  The user must sign in to Cloud again in order to publish content or access data sources.  This is not the LBLM activation sign in.
 

Environment

  • Tableau Prep Builder 2022.3
  • Tableau Server
  • Tableau Cloud
  • Windows
  • MacOS

Resolution

Use a version of Tableau Prep prior to 2022.3 or 2022.3.3 and newer.
or
Use version Tableau Prep 2022.4 or later.
 

Cause

This is a known issue that is resolved in Tableau Prep Builder 2022.3.3.
