Tableau Server the Tableau Prep Conductor Process Status Becomes Unavailable

Issue

The Tableau Prep Conductor process goes into an unavailable state. Because the flowprocessor_0 is not able to read the license information.

When running the "tsm status -v" command, the following can display:

Status: DEGRADED" and Tableau Prep Conductor 0' status is unavailable.

Environment

Tableau Server 2022.1 and newer
Red Hat (RHEL) Linux 7
Windows

Resolution

Until the update is available, please perform the following:

Linux:
tsm stop
sudo /opt/tableau/tableau_server/packages/scripts.<version>/stop-administrative-services
sudo /opt/tableau/tableau_server/packages/scripts.<version>/start-administrative-services
tsm start

Windows:
tsm stop

cd C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau Server\packages\scripts.<build_number>
stop-administrative-services start-administrative-services

tsm start

Cause

This issue is being investigated by the Tableau Development Team under Tableau Server Known Issue ID 1429870.
