Tableau Cloud Error "Page unavailable" And Content Appears on Site After Content Is Deleted

After deleting content on Tableau Cloud, users may observe that the content still appears listed in the Explore page or in search results. 

When attempting to view the content, the following message is displayed:

Page unavailable
The content you are looking for doesn't exist.
Explore other content

In Tableau Desktop, users may also see the deleted content when exploring content from Tableau Cloud, but will be unable to successfully connect to or open the deleted content items.

Please create a support case including:

  • The name of the content that was deleted
  • The date and time the content was deleted, and which user deleted the content
  • Tableau Cloud Site name
  • A date/time when the content was accessed and users encountered "Page Unavailable" response, including username of the user who performed the action.
