Tableau Bridge Remains in Disconnected Status Despite still Running Extract Refreshes

Tableau Bridge permanently shows a state of Disconnected, even when Tableau Bridge is still running extract refreshes and appears to be responding to changes such as schedule updates and adding/remove data sources.

  1. Login to Tableau Online as a Site Administration
  2. Select Settings > Authentication
  3. Select the check box in the Connected Clients setting


When the Connected Clients setting is not enable it means that Tableau Bridge cannot permanently establish a connection with the Tableau Online site meaning the status of Disconnected appears despite other actions such as refreshes working successfully.
