Table Border Lines are Missing After Publishing Workbook

In some cases, published workbooks that use dual-axis charts are missing part of the top right or bottom left of the table border.

  • Tableau Server 10.2 and newer
  • Tableau Online

Option 1

As a Tableau Server Administrator, upgrade to Tableau Server 10.4.3, 10.3.7 or 10.2.9. For more information, see Upgrading Tableau Server in Tableau Help.

Option 2

As an alternative workaround, force server-side rendering by using ?:render=false.

Option 3

If upgrading Tableau Server or forcing server-side rendering are not feasible, the design and format of the workbook can be modified to mimic the use of borders:
  •     For dashboards, add layout containers with borders and place the sheets into these containers. The borders on the containers will display on Tableau Server when the dashboard is published.
  •     Use shading applied to worksheet backgrounds (or the background of a dashboard) to simulate a border.

This behavior is related to a known issue (ID: 679851)  which has been fixed in a recent release of Tableau Server.
