Sums of Aggregated and Mixed Case-sensitive Dimensions Do not Compute Correctly (Excel)

When using an Excel data source, dimension members that contain upper and lower characters are mixed and aggregated in Tableau Desktop, and their measures values' sums are not computed correctly.

Creating an Extract of the data source should resolve the issue. For more information, see Extract Your Data

Due to a limitation of the Excel data source connector, similar strings with differing cases will be aggregated together (such as "Tableau" and "tableau"). However, currently it seems that measures related to these 2 differing strings do not get aggregated and are instead the values end up overlaid on top of each other.
