Row Level Data Duplication When Publishing Extracts Using REST API

Issue

When publishing extracts using the REST API, duplicate data entries might display in the underlying published data. 

Environment

  • Tableau Online
  • Tableau Server
  • REST API 

Resolution

Increase or remove any timeout values for API call requests in the REST API code. 

Cause

The timeout can cause re-upload attempts, which may succeed and result in duplicate data being published.
