Error "Only deployed entitlement line item can be fulfilled" when Registering, Activating, or Deactivating a Product Key

Issue

When trying to Activate, Deactivate or Register, a key the following error occurs:
Only deployed entitlement line item can be fulfilled

 

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop
  • Tableau Server

Resolution

Check your Tableau Customer Portal to obtain your current key.

Cause

The product key was expired or obsolete.
