When variable binding is enabled and the data is filtered on a blank string value (''), no data is displayed in the view.

Resolution
As a workaround, configure Tableau Desktop to use the JDBC driver.For information about configuring the SAP HANA connector to use the JDBC driver, see pages 13 to 15 of the slides from the JDBC Connectors presentation from Tableau Conference 2018.
