Issue

When using Tableau Desktop in a Citrix environment, the login screen to connect to Tableau Server presents a blank screen instead of the expected authentication interface.

Resolution

Disable all Citrix API hooks for Tableau Desktop executable components by creating the following registry values:

Keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\CtxHook
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\CtxHook
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\CtxHook64

Value Name: ExcludedImageNames

Type: REG_SZ

Value: QtWebEngineProcess.exe,tableau.exe

Cause

Citrix API hooks capture calls between Tableau Desktop components resulting in unexpected behavior within Tableau Desktop.
