License With LBLM Still Expires When Periodically Open Tableau Prep / Tableau Desktop

Issue
License with LBLM expires and the authentication window is prompted even when you open periodically Tableau Prep / Tableau Desktop to extend the license authorization. This issue usually occurs when using Tableau Prep with the command line.

Resolution
Follow the steps below to make sure the license duration is extended with LBLM. 1. Open Tableau Prep Builder / Tableau Desktop 2. Sign in to the Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud which you made the LBLM authentication before.
Cause
User is not signed in to the Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud, which is needed to update the license status via LBLM.
Additional Information
The login-based license management default settings for the authorization to run (ATR) duration is 14 days.
The Online help said that "If you're using Login-based License Management (LBLM), make sure to periodically open Tableau Prep. Otherwise the lease can expire, causing flows run via the command line to fail. " https://help.tableau.com/current/prep/en-us/prep_run_commandline.htm But even if you periodically open Tableau Prep, the license still expires.
