Published: 10 Jul 2018 Last Modified Date: 23 Jan 2019
Issue
When using standard iOS IME, for example Japanese-Romaji, Japanese workbook name is not saved correctly in mobile browsers or Tableau Mobile. Japanese kanji and English letters will be converted into hiragana. Typical symptoms are as below:
"漢字" is saved as "かんじ".
"テスト" is saved as "てすと". (If you only input "t" and select "テスト", the workbook name will become "t". If you input "te" and select "テスト", the workbook name will become "て".)
"ワークブックapuri" is saved as "ワークブックあぷり". (If you use English keyboard/input method to input "apuri", it will remain as "apuri".)
Environment
Tableau Mobile iOS version
Mobile browsers on iOS
