ResolutionEnsure you are using a font which has a 'true italic' that is installed on your system. Arial and Times New Roman are reliable choices.
CauseFor many Windows programs, if a font does not have a true italic installed, the program will slant the regular font to make a 'faux italic'.
Adobe software does not create 'faux italics' and will only display an italic if there is an italic style of the font installed.
Additional InformationWhy do I see incorrect fonts when I create PDFs from Word at Adobe forums.
