In the lineage tab inherited description is visible for admins like below :If non-admin users want to see the same details, it looks like the following. For non Admin user it is showing No description

Resolution
Click on the (i) icon in the description and verify from where the description is inherited. Provide permission on that object for that user who wants to see the description.In the above example, the inherited description is coming from rp_xxxxxxx . We need to give the at least view access to this Object for that user.
Cause
This is an expected behaviour. Non-admin users do not have permission to parent objects from where the description is coming.Additional Information
We need to set the permission properly to display inherited description to a non admin user.Manage Web Content
