Issue

'HTTP bad request' appears when connecting to Salesforce from Tableau Desktop.

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop 2018.1.4
  • Windows 10
  • Salesforce.com

Resolution

Upgrade Tableau Desktop to the latest version 2021.3.x.

Cause

Tableau software version 2018.1 is no longer supported.
