Fewer Rows than Expected in the Data Grid of Tableau Desktop

Issue

On the data source page, the number of rows displayed in the data grid is 1000, even though a larger number of records is expected. 

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Resolution

Change the number of rows displayed in the data grid by entering a different number and then clicking the arrow next to the form. (If necessary, click the 'Update Now' button.)

Please note that this does not change the number of rows of data available to the views based on the data source.
 

Cause

The default number of rows displayed in the data grid is 1,000 (if the number of records is greater than 1,000).

Additional Information

To check the number of rows of records in a data source, navigate to a worksheet, and then drag [Number of Records] from Measures onto the view
