  • Tableau Server 10.0 and newer versions
  • Sharepoint 2010
  • Internet Explorer 10 and earlier versions
  • Internet Explorer 11 and newer with Compatibility Mode active

Option 1

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 11.

Option 2

Turn off Compatibility Mode for Internet Explorer 11.

Option 3

Upgrade Sharepoint to Sharepoint 2013.

Option 4

Modify the 'X-UA-Compatible' tag within Sharepoint by setting it equal to IE=edge instead of IE=8.
For more information, see Configuring web servers to specify document modes at Microsoft Developer Network.

Option 5

Check filter settings for website blockers (for example: Net Nanny).

Option 6

The Run As user permissions might have been updated while Tableau Server was running, inhibiting application of settings to files which may already be in use. To resolve it, follow the steps below:
  1. Stop Tableau Server
  2. Update Run As user folder permissions
  3. Restart Tableau Server

Tableau Server 10 and newer versions no longer support Internet Explorer 10 and earlier versions, including current versions of Internet Explorer running in compatibility mode (emulating earlier versions).
