Issue

When clicking 'Update Now' on the Data Source page, the following error occurs:

Unable to connect to the server. Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.
Error Code: FAB9A2C5
Published link '<table>' refers to a table that no longer exists. On line X, column X. [parser-XXXXXXX][Log ID:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
The table '[<Catalog>].[<schema>].[<table>]' does not exist.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

TIBCO Data Virtualization

Resolution

Apply a .tdc file containing the following customization:
<customization name='CAP_ODBC_METADATA_SUPPRESS_SQLCOLUMNS_API' value='yes' />

For example:

If there are any open Tableau Desktop windows, close them.
Save the sample .tdc file attached to this article to Documents\My Tableau Repository\Datasources.
Open Tableau Desktop and connect to the data source.
