Error "Unable to Verify Site URI" When Trying to Login to Tableau Online, and "Forgot Site" Email Does Not Send Successfully

Issue

When logging into Tableau Online, after entering the correct URI and an email that previously used to work prior to the Online login change, the following error is returned:

Unable to Verify Site URI

In addition, the Forgot Site button does not send the email successfully.

Resolution

This known issue was resolved by the development team in Tableau Online on 2/3/2022.

Cause

The issue happens when a user changes their email on the TableauID page from their original Tableau Online username email. There is a known defect surrounding this issue that is now fixed.
