Error "There Was a Problem Connecting to the Data Source “Clipboard_xxxx”. Error Code: 88A6ADA0" When Publishing a Workbook

Issue

When publishing a workbook, the following error messages appear.

Unable to complete action
There was a problem connecting to the data source “Clipboard_xxxx”.
Error Code: 88A6ADA0
File: /User/<username>/Documents/My Tableau Repository/Datasource \Clipboard_xxxx.txt not found. Please edit the connection

An error occurred while communicating with the data source
Bad Connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source.
Error Code: 3C3E8425
An error occurred when publishing the workbook.
A data source for this worksheet cannot be accessed.

Resolution

Tableau Desktop has a feature to copy and paste the data directly into your workbook. If the "Clipboard_xxxx" data source is unintentionally added by pressing Ctrl+V (or Command+V on Mac) on Tableau Desktop, please select Menu>Data>"Clipboard_xxxx">Close to delete the "Clipboard_xxxx" data source.
