Tableau Desktop installed on macOS fails to launch with the error "Tableau quit unexpectedly".

Resolution
Please note that using the below method may impact other applications that also run with FLEXnet. Consult with your IT team before proceeding.On the computer running Tableau Desktop, please manually remove the FLEXnet preference files from the Library Folder. To find and remove the FlexNet preference files, see the steps below:
- Open Finder
- Select Go > Go to Folder from the menu bar at the top of the screen
- In the Go to Folder dialog, enter: /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/
- Rename the FLEXnet folder by adding '_backup'
- Restart Tableau Desktop and activate the product if necessary.
