CauseWindows security update kb4041678 released on October 10, 2017 inadvertently affected the Microsoft JET Database Engine. A further update was released on November 14, 2017 to address this issue. For more information, see “Unexpected error from external database driver (1). (Microsoft JET Database Engine)” after applying October security updates.
