Error "Data source '<database type>' has not been licensed" Publishing Data Source to Tableau Cloud from Tableau Desktop Trial

Issue

When publishing a live data source using Tableau Bridge live query connection capability, error occurs:
 
Unable to establish connection: Data source '<database type>' has not been licensed.
DataServiceFailure
Unable to connect to the server 'us-east-1-online.tableau.com". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.

Environment

  • Tableau Cloud 
  • Tableau Bridge and Tableau Desktop 10.4.0 -10.4.1
  • Tableau Desktop Trial

Cause

This behavior is related to a known issue with ID 666025 which has been corrected in more recent versions.
