"Error Code: C926DA9F" received when signing into Tableau Cloud via Tableau Desktop

When signing in to Tableau Cloud via Tableau Desktop, the following error is received:

Unable to complete action
Not enough permissions
Error Code: C926DA9F
com.tableausoftware.domain.user.exceptions.PasswordValidationRateLimitingException: Password validation attempt blocked due to too many failed attempts. Try again later (errorCode=10075) (errorCode=10075)
You do not have permission to perform the requested operation.

Ensure the URL is correct and "" is inserted in the URL field when signing in to Tableau Cloud from Tableau Desktop. 



Incorrect URL is specified for signing into Tableau Cloud.

  • This error can also happen when activating the product via LBLM when the wrong URL is being used
