Error B19090E0 "[q0:Security] Invalid Source Address." when connecting to Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Issue

When connecting Tableau Desktop to Salesforce Marketing Cloud through the native connector, the following error occurs:

An error occurred while communicating with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud data source 'Salesforce Marketing Cloud'
Bad connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source.
Error code: B19090E0
[q0:Security] Invalid Source Address.
Unable to connect to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud server "Salesforce Marketing Cloud". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.
Connector class: cdama_sfmarketingcloud. Versin 21.8272.0

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Cause

The IP address is not added in the allowlist for the account in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
