- Tableau Server 2022.4.1
Resolution
- Close all Tableau Desktop instances.
- Re-open Tableau Desktop, then sign in to the correct Tableau Server to activate Tableau Desktop.
Cause
Error 87C6E9CC occurs when activating Tableau Desktop by signing in to a test Tableau Server (UAT) which is not accessible, then trying to sign in to the accessible Tableau Server without re-launching Tableau Desktop.Thank you for providing your feedback on the effectiveness of the article.
