Delay in Admin Insights Data Update

Issue

Even after setting the update frequency for Admin Insights data sources to daily, events that occur earlier in the day before the update of the data sources do not appear in the data.

Resolution

Admin Insights is behaving as designed.

Cause

The process for updating the Admin Insights data sources takes up to 10 hours:

The raw data is exported from the Tableau Cloud hosts. This takes place at around 12:00 AM system time for the Tableau Cloud environment (pod).
The raw data is processed.
The data sources are published to the Tableau Cloud sites. This usually happens by 10:00 AM.

Events (such as user login) that took place after the raw data has been exported would only appear in the next day's Admin Insights data source update.
