Datasource Names Are Displayed as Unused Fields in the Workbook Optimizer Dialog

Issue

When all fields for each data source are in use on the workbook and you run the Workbook Optimizer, the data source names appear in the Unused fields section.

For example, assume that you have the following data sources, and Table A and Table B are blended with Product and Row ID as demonstrated below.

When the all fields except the blended key fields of the secondary data source are added to a worksheet, each data source name is displayed in the Unused fields section of the Workbook Optimizer dialog as shown below.

Resolution

If you would like to hide NameofTable (Count) fields, select the Fix the rule button, or right-click each NameofTable (Count) fields in the Data pane and select Hide.

If NameofTable (Count) fields are necessary, select the Ignore this rule button, or just ignore the guideline.

Cause

When you connect to data sources, the NameofTable (Count) field is automatically generated for each data source as described in this Tableau Online Help document . The data source names in the Unused field section of the Workbook Optimizer indicates the NameofTable (Count) field.
