Issue
When opening a view in Tableau Cloud/Tableau Server, Data Guide pane is displayed by default for all the users after upgrading to 2023.1.

Environment
- Tableau Server 2023.1 and later
- Tableau Cloud
Resolution
Option 1Change the setting in [My Account Settings] for Data Guide. Enable the option [Close Data Guide by default] if you do not want to display the Data Guide pane by default.
Option 2
Change the Site Setting [Availablity of Data Guide] to [Hide] via [Setting] > [General].
Note: This will hide [Data Guide] button from all of the workbook like below. [Data Guide] is no longer visble for all the users.
Cause
This is due to a design change in Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud 2023.1.What's New in Tableau Cloud
