You are unable to use a dashboard extension (an error might occur).
Here are some general options you can use to troubleshoot an issue with a dashboard extension in Tableau Desktop:
Option 1 - Check that you have allowed the extension to run and access data
Select the extension in the dashboard, and from the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, choose 'Reset Permissions'.
Click 'Allow' to let the extension run and access data.
Option 3 - Contact the extension's developer or company
If the above options do not resolve the issue, as mentioned in our Help document, you will need to contact the developer or company who created the extension for further assistance:
Select the extension in the dashboard, and from the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, choose About.
Click Get Support to go to the support page of the extension developer.
If the extension was created by yourself, you can submit questions and ask for help in the Tableau developer community, as Tableau doesn't provide support for extensions or for other programs that interface with the Extensions API.
