Issue

It is not possible to use the MongoDB BI connector in Tableau Server.  When creating a workbook and the connector is selected, the pop-up window remains blank.

Environment

  • Tableau Server
  • MongoDB BI Connector

Resolution

Work with IT to determine why the external server is rejecting the connection.

Cause

An external server, such as a proxy server, is rejecting the connection.

In the client side a Fiddler log will show:

HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2022 09:56:41 GMT
Server: Apache
Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=31536000; includeSubDomains
Content-Length: 199
Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=98
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
