Connection Name Not Updated After Editing Data Connection

Issue

After editing a data connection, the connection name at the top of the page will change to reflect the edited connection but you notice that the name in the sidebar is not updated.

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop
  • Excel
  • Marketo
  • Google Sheets

Cause

This behavior is a known issue and is currently under investigation by the Tableau Software development team.
