Environment
- Tableau Desktop 10.1 and earlier versions
- Keyhole Markup Language (KML) Files
Resolution
Option 1:
Convert the KML file to a CSV file, for example using a third party tool such as the KMLCSV Converter, and import it as custom geocoding.
Note: when importing files for custom geocoding, Tableau will ask you to specify a folder. Tableau will then import all files from the specified folder. It is a best practice to create a new folder that contains only the CSV files and use it in the import.
