Admin Insights "Stats for Space Usage" View Shows Available Capacity However Publish and Refresh Jobs Encounter Storage Capacity Errors

Issue

Although the "Stats for Space Usage" Admin Insights view shows that capacity is available, storage capacity errors occur when publishing or refreshing content.

Environment

  • Tableau Cloud
  • Site Storage
  • Admin Insights

Resolution

As a workaround, use the legacy Stats for Space Usage admin view.
  1. Log in to Tableau Cloud as an admin.
  2. Select Site Status.
  3. Select the Bridge Extracts admin view.
  4. Select the down arrow (caret icon) to see a list of tabbed views.
  5. Select Stats for Space Usage.

Cause

Admin Insights data sources do not consider Virtual Connections or revision history content when computing storage capacity usage.
