The old packaged workbook with custom geocoding imported cannot be opened in new Tableau Reader 2020.2+

Issue

When opening workbooks in Tableau Reader, the following error prompts

Error Code: 4D305D6F
Error encountered while loading C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau Reader 2020.2\bin\fbclient.dll
Unable to connect to the file "C:/Users/[Username]/AppData/Local/Temp/TableauTemp/[xxxxxx]/Local Data/GEOCODING.FDB". Check that the file exists and that you have sufficient access privileges for it.


The custom geocoding folder C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Temp\TableauTemp\[xxxxxx]\Local Data has errors.
The custom geocoding data source C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Temp\TableauTemp\[xxxxxx]\Local Data\xxx.tds contains errors: Sign in cancelled

Resolution

Upgrade to Tableau Reader 2021.2.1
 

Cause

The old way to read custom geocoding has been removed from firebird to hyper engine. Tableau Reader cannot find the required fbclient.dll to connect to the FDB file that causes the issue.
