Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 2020.1.12, 2020.2.9, 2020.3.4, 2020.4 or later.
1. Edit the attached 'sharepoint.tdc' by replacing YourUserName with your user name and place it into the C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\My Tableau Repository\Datasources folder
2. The 'cdata.log' will be generated in the C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\My Tableau Repository\Logs folder. Check the error messages and troubleshoot
CauseThis is a known issue that is fixed in more recent versions of Tableau Desktop. There is a problem with login but Tableau Desktop 2018.2.3 or higher does not prompt the login error message when connecting to SharePoint Lists even though the credential is invalid.
Additional InformationIf there is a login problem, related errors can be confirmed in tabprotosrv.txt logfile.
