Option 1Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 10.5.7, 2018.1.4, 2018.2.0 and later. For more information, see Upgrading Tableau Desktop in Tableau Help.
Option 2In Tableau Desktop 10.3 - 10.4, replace the original fiscal date field with a new one created by a calculation:
- Create a new calculated field similar to
DATEADD('month', (# of months), [Date Field])
- Place this new date field on filter shelf
- Set the new date field to open to latest date when workbook is opened
CauseThis behavior is related to a known issue (ID: 682208) which has been fixed in recent releases of Tableau Desktop.
