Error "all_agents_busy" When Refreshing Extracts in Bridge Using Pooling

Issue

Refresh extract run via Tableau Bridge fails with the error:

"REMOTE_EXTRACT_REFRESH_ALL_AGENTS_BUSY"
com.tableausoftware.domain.online.remoteagents.RemoteQueryServiceException: category=UNAVAILABLE errorId=REMOTE_EXTRACT_REFRESH_ALL_AGENTS_BUSY 

 

Environment

  • Tableau Online
  • Tableau Bridge

Resolution

Make sure the number of scheduled jobs is equal to or less than the number of concurrent processes in the pool configuration file.

Modify the size of the Bridge pool

Cause

Recommended scheduled job count higher than the configured pool count causes extracts to fail with all_agents_busy error.
