AnswerThe Coordination Service synchronizes the clustered system continuously and runs as a service on all machines in the distributed environment to keep the failover system in synchronization with the live system.
If a synchronization delay is discovered, please refer to the Product Help Guide article below which explains how the hardware can effect how well the Coordination Services will operate: Tableau Server Coordination Service.
The cluster controller timeout, which defaults to 5 minutes, can be shortened and then the sync will run more frequently. For more information, see the following topics in Tableau Help:
- Tuning the Cluster Controller Timeout Threshold (Tableau Server 2018.1)
- View Server Process Status (Linux)
- tsm configuration
